Betty Crocker Gluten Free Baking Review and Giveaway

Green Giant Seasoned Steamers Review and Giveaway

When I had my physical a few years back the doctor told me there was really no excuse to not eat enough vegetables. He went on to explain how the new development (ok so it was a long time ago) of the new vegetables that steam right in the bag made it so easy. So okay, he was right. Pre Paleo Diet, I was slacking on the vegetable department. Sometimes I would consider it too much to do and just skip the veggie at dinner all together. It was like that doctor could read my mind! Or maybe it was my labs that told on me? Now that I am on the Paleo diet, I make sure vegetables make it into EVERY meal. To be fair I tried out one of the recipes on my mother who happily eats wheat. My mother is 70 years old and still works 7 hours a day and is dog tired at the end of the work day. As a surprise I snuck into her house and put all the ingredients for Pulled Chicken Sandwiches in her small crock pot on low. I simply purchased a store bought rotisserie chicken, shredded it and added the rest of the ingredients into the crock pot. I made sure I set out fresh rolls and cole slaw for when she returned.

Her comments? It is the sort of thing that brings tears to your eyes. She insisted that I was the sweetest, best daughter that a mother could ever ask for. That I truly was her gift from god! LOL. Seriously it was not that big of a deal and it took very little effort on my part. She really enjoyed the hot meal and was impressed at how easy it all was to do. The cook book has 5 great ideas like this for busy mom's on the go. I would still use the recipes and make the Gluten Free substitutes like we GF moms always do.

I did not need to wait to receive this product box to tell you how wonderful these products are. I am especially happy with the Larabar. Not having a Granola Bar option for my daughter was proving to be a real problem. She would enjoy the peanut butter variety granola bar almost every day pre-Celiac diagnosis. This bar solves our problem for hunger on the go and it tastes great.

Gluten Free Bisquick Review and Giveaway

I was truly thrilled that I was chosen to participate in the My Blog Spark for Betty Crocker’s Gluten Free Bisquick. I love My Blog Spark and I really do appreciate the opportunity to bring my readers all the wonderful giveaways and product reviews they have to offer.

This has not been my first time trying out Bisquick Gluten Free baking mix and sharing my findings with all of you. In fact, I keep Betty Crocker’s Bisquick Gluten Free baking mix around and use it for various things.

Lined up here are a few of my top favorite ways to use Betty Crocker Gluten Free Bisquick:

It does a wonderful job replacing the wheat flour to thicken my Roux or white sauce in Fettuccini Alfredo.

I also use it to thicken other sauces such as in my Sweet and Sour Chicken

It is a key component in my Home Made Macaroni and Cheese

Rocked my world by bringing back the Chicken and Dumplings dish with light and fluffy dumplings.

It also happens to make one pretty awesome Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake.

And last but not least, the pancake. In this case, Banana Walnut Pancakes.

What I love the most about Gluten Free Bisquick is that it is available in my local Walmart. Until Gluten Free Bisquick I could not source a gluten free pancake/waffle mix locally. Busy moms will love the convenience. No need for several bags of various specialty flours to blend or combine to make a simple batch of pancakes.

Along with a full sized box of Bisquick Gluten Free baking mix you will receive a heavy duty, 2 pound, Cast aluminum, silver dollar pancake pan. It makes Seven 3-inch pancakes and can be used with any pancake recipe. After I seasoned the pan according to package directions, the pancakes cooked up perfectly and did not stick at all. I think this pan will make a great addition to our camping trip this month!

Also included is a Tovolo pancake pen to create the perfect circle or custom pancake designs. This product would also be ideal to use for your fancy seasonal pancake molds (shapes). But don't stop there. Draw pancake messages on your fry pan for a cute, pick-me-up breakfast idea or use it to perfectly fill your muffin cups. I think it would also be a great Funnel Cake tool. Pre-make your pancake batter and take it along with you on a camping trip. If you don't use all of your pancake batter up, put the cap on and store the rest in the refrigerator. Yoplait Whips! Review and Giveaway

I received the opportunity to try Yoplait Whips!, courtesy of My Blog Spark. Yoplait Whips! are unbelievably fluffy and light when enjoyed right from the refrigerator. Bubbly comes to mind when I first tried this item and they really do remind you of a mousse. My Blog Spark and Yoplait Whips! suggested we try them frozen and although I have tried other kiddie yogurts frozen it never occurred to me to try Yoplait Whips!

I actually prefer to freeze our yogurt. Not only does it preserve the freshness but allows me to keep them at the perfect temperature when its time to enjoy them for a packed lunch. With coupon in hand, I set out to try and freeze the new whips.

What I discovered while I was there was Yoplait Whips! yogurt comes in 9 great flavors.

Included in the prize pack that was sent to me to try out was the most adorable ice cream molds to use while freezing my yogurts into a wonderful frozen treat. Now I know you can't taste it though the computer, so close your eyes and imagine an orange creme and vanilla creme swirl. VERY YUMMY.

My son LOVED the chocolate. Seriously, I'm not lying. He loved it. I love that it was lower in calories and better for him. I had the opportunity to taste it and it really was creamy and delicious. The taste is better then the kiddie frozen yogurts we were freezing. This one tastes just like frozen yogurt ice cream.

This mold is also ideal for the Gluten Free Child. No worries about ordering speciality cones. Your child will be perfectly happy using the included molded cones instead. They look just like a regular cone and a good back up plan. I just may have to store one in my purse for trips to the mall!

And how about that adorable bag. It is the canvas type bag we used to carry to the beach as kids only this one is insulated. I personally think it would be awesome for moms of babies and toddlers to carry the bottles. I'm thinking it would be the perfect lunch bag too. How about to carry the Celiac's child's snacks in? Look at how it zippers at the top to allow for more room? I'm in love with this adorable bag!

I was intrigued with the idea of Rainbow Sherbet flavor. Sherbet is my daughters favorite and I just knew she would like it. You see, yogurt at my house comes back home in the lunch box uneaten. So I took my coupon and ran out to the store to pick up some of the new Yoplait Splitz. I saved two for the refrigerator (one for each kid) and put two in the freezer. My plan was to pack the yogurt in the lunch bag and see what they thought.

How did my children feel about the new Yoplait Splitz?

Hey, did you eat both of those out of the fridge?
They were good mommy, I can't wait to try them frozen!

He let me have a taste and the texture was more creamy and less tart than your ordinary yogurt. I am going to have to get another pack so my daughter can try them refrigerated. Yes, they are also "safe" for my Celiac daughter. But NEVER take my word for it. Just look on the package and see for yourself.

See the "Gluten Free" on the bottom right? I always feel better seeing that there. Yoplait Splitz also happens to be free of High Fructose Corn Syrup. Another ingredient we try and do without.

I noticed that they came in Strawberry Banana Split and Strawberry Sundae. I would LOVE to try the Banana Split flavor.

This is no ordinary bag. It is a waterproof Activo Insulated Tote made by Picnic Time. This is a nice quality bag with plenty of room. Just pack it up and take it to the beach. Or how about sporting events? Instead of carrying all those heavy chairs across the field at Soccer, just pack your bag and bring the included blanket. Let's not forget long car trips.
