Hearty Breakfast

We all know that skipping meals aren't a good way to lose weight and get fit, and I got to read in one magazine that it helps if people who wanted to lose weight consume nearly half of their calorie intake while it is still early, so come dinnertime, they wouldn't eat much anymore. I am currently on my journey to be fit and healthy, but while I am giving up some food, I don't really limit myself to eat what I want, provided I keep the portions small: keeping rice intake at 1 cup per meal, meats (chicken, beef, and pork) at 100 grams, or less. I still go for balanced eating - as we all need different nutrients to keep us healthy. I am not a big fan of special diets, I still prefer a meal with meat, veggies, and carbs, rather than eating just crackers for meals (some dieters do this as their way of losing weight. I do respect their preference, but it's something I won't follow).

This breakfast was something I prepared for my mom sometime last January. Normally, my mom prefer eating toasted bread for breakfast, but since she would always go for butter or margarine, I decided to give her other choices to go with her breakfast: a sunny side-up egg (I used the heart shaped metal cookie cutter when I fried the egg so it would look like a heart), hotdogs, and noodles. Mom didn't eat all of these, so the left over food, my sister and I shared as we eat breakfast a bit later than mom.
